We don’t hear God most times when we are awake because we are so busy with our day to day activities and responsibilities ( Work, Family, Entertainment, Studying His Scriptures, Etc. )…. its not that we don’t want to hear Him, its just that we are ” Busy “. So how does He get His messages across to us then?? ” Dreams and Visions “, Yes God speaks to us when we are in deep rest mode, when our minds are shut down for awhile! Proof is in His Word…. Job 33:14-16(14) For God may speak in one way or in another, yet man does not perceive it. ( Again because we’re too busy with worldly cares )(15) In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, while slumbering in their beds ( see, God knew we’d be too busy some times and made alternate plans for us to receive His message, more so in dreams than visions …visions are images of things that could be, Dreams most times are messages waiting to be deciphered ), (16) Then He opens the ears of men and seals their instruction ( in our dreams He can tell us what He wishes ).Yes, when we are at deep rest ( sleep ) God has our undivided attention.But we must be careful , Satan can influence our dreams as well. ( you don’t believe me? well see if God’s word will help me prove this statement ).Jude v.8 Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh ( could be immoral dreams ), reject authority ( Satan wants us to reject God’s authority, so he plants those ideas in our consciousness while we sleep ), and speak evil of dignitaries ( refers to reviling , speaking negatively about the word of God and Christ … this is Satan’s chance to catch you unawares and slander God, make you feel some type of way about Him…” God has abandoned you”, “You’re wasting the best time of your life serving a God who doesn’t care for you”, etc., etc. ).That’s why we have to stay focused on His Word so we can even in our sleep discern God’s influence from Satan’s … I’ve woken myself up from dreams because I knew they weren’t godly messages or dreams…discernment is real !! So is God speaking to us???
