“We Should Not Be Feeling Hopeless”
Prayer: Father I come to you in the name of Your Son and my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to first say Thank You for allowing us to see another day, I give You Thanks Father for our families and for our health. Father You have the people calling out to You once again, You have opened the eyes of Your people are now in despair. I ask Father that You remove the despair and plant the Hope and Assurances that they need in their lives, hear their prayers Lord and continue to bless them all, this I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
These really are scary times for civilization, you turn on the television and radio and all you hear or see is death and destruction…this is too much for most people, some people have taken their own lives because they had lost love ones and their lively hood, that’s really sad, but God will have you know He is a Merciful God, and all you have to do is call out to Him from the Heart and He will deliver you. I’d like to share His Word with you today, pay close attention people please!! 2 Corinthians 1:8-11 8) For we do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, of our trouble which came to us in Asia. (Now we don’t know what burdens Paul is speaking of exactly, but it can correlate with what is going on today) that we were burdened beyond measure Troubled and destraught by what we are going through), above strength so that we despaired even of life (a lot of people are ready to die because of fear or all that they have lost). 9) Yes we had the sentence of death in ourselves (some believed they would die from the virus), that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead (this virus was meant to teach us to submit and to put our trust in God and not ourselves, we have proved we are helpless against this, we NEED GOD’S HELP), 10) who delivered us (this means He has helped us in the past) from so great a death, and, and does deliver us (this speaks of Him helping us NOW) in whom we trust that He will YET deliver us (speaking of future help from God), 11) You also helping together in Prayer for us, (speaks on interceding in prayer for one another, we should pray for others instead of for ourselves at these moments) that thanks may be given by many persons on your behalf for the gift granted to us through many (through the many prayers given on our behalf from total strangers and friends and family alike, and for the Prayers we prayed for them).
GOD HAS A PURPOSE BEHIND EVERY PROBLEM
Our moral character as of late has been less than what it should be, and God uses circumstances to develop our character. In fact He depends more on circumstances to make us like Jesus than He depends on our reading the Bible. The reason is obvious: you face circumstances 24 hours a day. John 16:33 Jesus warned us that we would have problems in the world, no one is immune to pain or insulated from suffering, and no one gets to skate through life problem free. 1Peter 4:12 Peter assures us that problems are normal. God uses these problems to draw us nearer to Himself. In Psalm 34:19 it says “The Lord is close to the broken hearted, He rescues those who are crushed in spirit”. When your heart is broken, when you feel abandoned, when your out of options, and when the pain is great you can then turn to God knowing you can’t fix it yourselves but He can and will!! It is during the suffering that we learn to pray our most authentic, heartfelt, honest to God Prayers. Draw closer to God and He will draw closer to you…this isn’t a time of hopelessness, it is a time of HOPE!! Trust in God, give it all to Him, surrender your will to the Father and watch how He blesses you like He did Job!
